Account creation and authentication

You can create your Dexari account using email, Google, or Apple. All authentication is secured by Turnkey, a leading provider of non-custodial wallet infrastructure. When you sign up:
  • Key generation: Your private key is generated securely on your device and encrypted using Turnkey’s secure enclave technology.
  • Key custody: Only you control your private key. Dexari and Turnkey never have access to your raw key material.
  • Authentication: Your login method (email, Google, or Apple) is used to unlock your encrypted key, never to access your funds directly.

Passkeys and biometric security

Passkeys (Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN) provide an additional layer of security and convenience:
  • Passwordless login: No passwords or seed phrases to remember or lose.
  • Biometric protection: Sensitive actions (Send, Transfer, Export, Delete) require biometric or PIN confirmation.
  • Device binding: Passkeys are tied to your device and can be used across supported devices for seamless recovery.
Passkeys are optional but highly recommended. They make account recovery easier and protect you if your primary login method is lost or compromised.

Session management and inactivity

  • Protected sessions: Dexari keeps your session active when the app is in the background, but never exposes your keys to the network or other apps.
  • Automatic logout: After 7 days of inactivity, or if your device clears memory, you must re-authenticate.
  • Session hardening: You can require Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN every time you return to the app for maximum protection.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) and transaction security

  • FIDO2/WebAuthn 2FA: All sensitive actions (Send, Transfer, Export, Delete) require FIDO2-compliant two-factor authentication, using your device’s secure hardware.
  • Streamlined trading: Trading actions are intentionally streamlined for speed, but all withdrawals and key exports are protected by strong 2FA.
  • Transaction signing: All transactions are signed locally on your device. Your private key never leaves your device or the secure enclave.

Recovery and self-custody

  • Multiple recovery options: Regain access using your original login, passkey, or by importing your exported private key or seed phrase.
  • Export and import: You can export your keys at any time for full self-custody or to use another wallet. Import is only available during initial account creation.
  • No backdoors: Neither Dexari nor Turnkey can recover your keys or access your funds. You are always in control.
Important security information At Dexari, you own and control your assets—no middlemen, no centralized risks. Unlike exchanges, we do not store your private keys or have access to your funds.   • Dexari wallets now integrate with Turnkey for wallet infrastructure.
  • Turnkey abstracts away the complexities of private keys and seed phrases, allowing you to link your wallet to an email, Apple, or Google account.
  • You can also create a Passkey on your device for streamlined and secure login.
